We live not too far from GZ, and on Christmas Eve 2024 (3 nights ago) we had a smallish black bear come onto our porch and get into our metal cans of seed and critter crunch!!!! We've been hearing about sightings in west Corvallis and Cardwell Hill areas, and now there is a bear advisory for this area posted at the trailhead. We thought we'd pay homage to our friend!
