The Mars Perserverance Rover had successfully calibrated its WATSON camera, taking a photo of the geocaching trackable code that was specially printed on a one inch, unique, glass disk, and sent it back to earth for geocachers to discover, and earn a unique souvenir on a trackable 140 million miles away.
AND then.......

Covid 19 hit the world and everything changed. By mid-March, there were lockdowns and mandates, city, county, regional, state, and national parks all closed, businesses, schools, and other public areas closed. Events, CITOs, Mega Events, and Giga Events were cancelled all over the world. It was pandemonium.
Despite the fear, chaos and uncertainty, traffic on geocaching websites increased, with over a million views and record high unique visitors. The year saw an average of 170 caches per month, with trail caching, series, and paddle caching trips. The number of geocaching accounts logging at least one find was 2.1 million, with an average of 38 finds per account. The number of caches hidden in 2020 was 434,439, with hopes of better numbers in the following years.
When there was nothing else going on, there was still geocaching.
The geocache is a fully stocked ammo can. Please replace and cover back up to protect the integrity of the hide, and allow other geocachers the same thrill of the hunt.
