Geocache Description:

Much like geocaches, everyone passes by Tornado Sirens in Indiana almost daily - most without even realizing they are there.  Mr Tormado's (aka "BDC3D") other hobby has recently sparked an interest in figuring out how tornado sirens work.

The Federal Signal 2001 series of rotational tornado sirens were first released in 1988. The first version was an SRN in classic yellow. Several iterations and a color change to white later - one can now find 2001-SRN, SRNB, 130, and Equinox models scattered all across the flatlands of America.

This cache celebrates the Federal Signal 2001-SRN siren hovering just northeast of ground zero.
