Sutton Traditional Cache

This cache is temporarily unavailable.

Dumnonian: Hi gobble_di_gook

One of my roles as a reviewer is to monitor my region for caches that have been disabled for a long time, have had a reasonable number of DNFs or appear to require some maintenance.

I notice that this cache appears to have been unavailable for some time now.

Would the owner please check this cache and see if it is still in place or give an indication of when it may be sorted out. Otherwise it should be archived. If there is no response (eg cache checked and an Owner Maintenance Log, note on the cache page or an email direct to me) after 30 days I may archive the cache, in the meantime I am disabling it.

Guidelines: "As the cache owner, you are also responsible for physically checking your cache periodically, and especially when someone reports a problem with the cache (missing, damaged, wet, etc.). You may temporarily disable your cache to let others know not to hunt for it until you have a chance to fix the problem. This feature is to allow you a reasonable time - normally a few weeks - in which to arrange a visit to your cache. In the event that a cache is not being properly maintained, or has been temporarily disabled for an extended period of time, we may archive the listing."

If maintenance is not possible at the present time, please put a note on the cache and it will not be archived. If you do nothing it may be archived.

Regards

Luke

Geocache Description:

New Year, new caches! smiley

This is a 4.3 mile walk with 21 caches around the lovely Ruton XI Towns, an odd name that I just HAD to come and explore! The caches are mostly small tupperware boxes that I was gifted, with the odd micro and one nano.

There is ample parking at Doctors Meadows, it just feels a little odd driving through the housing estate to get to it. The locals are very friendly. A terrain rating of 3 is given for the length of the walk, except for caches where there are additional hazards.
The walk is fairly flat on well defined paths, there is one diversion from the established footpath which I have circled on the attached picture of the route. You need to go through a gate, up the centre of the paddocks and then back onto the footpath.

You'll take in Doctors Meadow, the old quarry, an old toll house, Platt bridge, downt to the Arboretum and accross the fields to the Cliffe viewpoint, which offers the finest view in Shropshire (apparently, it was misty and raining when I visited!). Back down into the town past Big Walls and to the Chruch and remains of the castle.
