The Long Dam Trail is a beautiful, partially-obscure, single-track trail that takes you from Wagon Road up to Vasquez Road. I was looking forward to exploring it on my way to Vasquez Peak, but it was a lot steeper than I had thought. By the time I got near the top, I had been hiking -- mostly climbing -- for almost 4 hours, and I was ready to be done with the hard work part of this hike. This cache marks a spot near the top of the trail with a standalone bay tree that should make for an easy find.
You're looking for a decon container that was a generous gift from squeenny. Coe seemed like a good place for such a tough container. The tree can be accessed with just a few steps off the trail on the uphill side. Enjoy one more find on your way to the top! You're almost there.
Henry Coe is open 24/7. This is a substantial hike, so come prepared for a workout! Bicycles are allowed in the park, but dogs are not. Happy hunting!
