Geocache Description:

The geocache is not hidden at the given coordinates. Solve the puzzle below to determine the coordinates of the cache.

When I was a kid, in the days before geocaching, on New Year's Day, my family would head over to my Auntie I's house. Auntie I was a single mom with four children, and I found out later that she spent months beforehand with a three-hole punch making confetti, bowls and bowls of confetti. When the cousins were all together, Auntie I would give us gallon-sized Ziploc bags of confetti, which we were allowed to throw at each other all around the living room. In the kitchen, Auntie I would prepare four pots, one was usually chili, another was Boston-style clam chowder, and another was something called SouperMac. The fourth was something different each year. In between building up a one- to two-inch layer of confetti on the living room floor (which was two stairs down from the rest of the house), we could grab bowls and bowls of soup to keep us fueled for the battle. And what did the adults do? I suppose, in addition to watching the Confetti madness, they watched bowls and bowls on TV. We did try to help clean up the confetti afterward, but it was always the case that some loose confetti would be found months or even a year after the event, which is why probably no other family member wanted to take up the tradition when Auntie I decided it was too much work to keep making confetti.

Special Notes about the 2025 Puzzle Challenge: To be considered for Fastest Solver points, you must verify your solution with Certitude. Finders will receive Top Finder points when submitting Found It logs to the cache page. All "point" scoring is arbitrary, subject to change, at the discretion of the cache owner, and probably completely meaningless (unless you just want to be announced sooner at the celebration party, which will probably happen sometime in March 2026). The real challenge is to see whether I can keep coming up with puzzles every month! To maintain fairness, hints should not be offered by the cache owner or other solvers until the fifteenth of the month.

Special Notes about this month's puzzle: Cache is not tethered, but was visible when I hid it and checked on it later. Names change, sometimes as often as every year, so make sure you are using 2024-2025 information.

You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.
