The Wuchong waterway starts much further to the north and perhaps in future the accompanying geocaching trail will extend there, connecting to the Huangma trail at Huangbei.
An odd but effective design element in many sections of the blueway is a kind of triple-level option for traversing it. There's the walkway next to the roadway, which often has a painted or paved bike lane aspects. Then there's the main 'blueway' pavement whch has a blue top level pigmented asphalt paving layer. Yet another option, used mainly by people fishing but also perfectly comfortable on a bike is right alongside the river riding in the wide edge of the river wall. The cache is down at this latter level.
