Geocache Description:

Here we are at the corner of the Maraenui Golf Club grounds. If you wish to know some facts about the game being played just behind these bushes I will advance your knowledge here :

Lost ball : A golfer will never lose one without crying. Finding a better ball than the lost one being looked for is a joy for the finder and the envy of the accompanying golfers.  Dog-leg : A bend in the fairway either to the right or left which golfers usually try to hit around from a distance. Here most hits go straight ahead.  Keeping score : A fellow player keeps your score. Having a buddy who owes you a favour to keep your score is good.  Waggle: Preliminary action before hitting the ball, where you flex the wrists and swing the club forwards and backwards. Each player can be identified by how they, and the time they take, to waggle.

Golf is a puzzle without an answer. I've played the game for 40 years and I still haven't the slightest idea how to play. (Gary Player, Professional Golfer)
