This geocache is a Wherigo geocache. If you are not familiar with this type of geocache you can read more about them on the Wherigo website, specifically here for information about what a Wherigo is or here for how to use a Wherigo. To play and find a Wherigo cache, you will need a suitable device, a smart phone or particular models of GPSr to download and play the 'cartridge' file. It can be easier to download the file before attempting rather than in the field where there may be mobile phone receiption issues.
To claim this geocache as found you must complete the Wherigo cartridge then find and sign the logsheet of the physical geocache. The physical geocache location will be revealed after you have visited various locations and answered questions as directed by the Wherigo cartridge on your journey through the Wherigo journey. The questions are multiple choice and are not designed to be difficult to solve at each visited location.
Here are some guidelines for how to play a Whereigo cartridge:
- Unfortunately, the Whereigo experience can error prone. You should save the cartridge whenever you have spoken to anyone or entered a new zone.
- Depending on satellite accuracy, your position may shift while you are standing in a zone and you may no longer be in this zone although you have not moved. Make sure you walk another metre or two into a zone when the "you have entered the zone" message pops up, to avoid this from happening
