The Ford Anglia is a small family car that was designed and manufactured by Ford UK. It is related to the Ford Prefect and the later Ford Popular. The Anglia name was applied to various models between 1939 and 1967. In total, 1,594,486 Anglias were produced. It was replaced by the Ford Escort. A 1960 version of this car was used in the Harry Potter films.
Welcome to Fletcher Creek Ecological Preserve
This 414 acre preserve was acquired by the Hamilton Conservation Authority between 1977 and 1987. It is located at the Headwaters of the Spencer Creek Watershed. This Forest and Wetland complex is an important groundwater recharge area, and has been identified as environmentally sensitive, an area of natural and scientific interest, as well as a provincially significant wetland. The HCA has provided opportunities for hiking and nature appreciation by maintaining a 3km trail system. The trail passes through naturalized fields, cedar forests, over Fletcher Creek and ends at the old Quarry Pond. Enjoy the walk.
