Jim’s Tree Climbing Adventure Mystery Cache

GeoMonkeyAU: Here we go again

Dear wonderful geocaching community,

If you’re reading this, you probably know what this is about. With a high level of regret, I inform you about the archiving of some of my best work Who’s Lara and Jim’s Tree Climbing Adventure. Through the years of 2024 to 2025, these caches have provided lots of fun to many finders through their elegant puzzles and GZs.

I have come to the decision to put an end to the caret series because the caches are too far from home, making them difficult to maintain, given reports from finders that there has been some maintenance causes lately. It is very difficult for me to find the time to come so far just to do maintenance for 10 seconds, then leave.

It has also been brought to my attention that some people have chosen to cheat the game to get finds, which is very saddening to hear given the amount of effort put in to creating and putting these out. In conjunction to this, people have been coming to find/solve my cache, not enjoying it and ranting on my cache page which is not fun as a CO to not only read but also respond in some way to these. If you don’t like my wonderful cache, please don’t attempt it or log anything and leave it for the ones who are willing to write good things. Why make yourself unhappy? You know who you are so let’s spread positivity instead!

Since we are archiving these caches and saying goodbye, I have also attached solutions to the puzzles on both caches so those who have not yet solved can see the way to solve. Also thanks to those who gave my caches favourite points. I hope you enjoyed finding it. I should also point out that it takes many hours and much effort to find a suitable spot for a cache and create its puzzle, but only a little but to destroy it and remove it.

As I have stated in my archiving log for my other caches, I am archiving these to make way for future plans which are to be announced so please stay tuned

I hope we can move forward and have the community enjoy my new caches when they come out

Kindest Regards,
GeoMonkeyAU

Solution

You had to draw the stories to decode into Prussian Semaphore Code. Then convert to alphanumerical value for the code.

I hope finders enjoyed.
Thank You.

Geocache Description:

Welcome To...
Jim's Tree Climbing Adventure
Recently, I have become quite fond of these "Jim" caches so I have decided to create my own puzzle and tree climb. I have decided to create my own because why not. I hope you enjoy the puzzle and climb.
Recently, Jim has come back to Sydney for a holiday by himself and spotted 5 new tree climb caches come out nearby. Jim is particularly interested in tree climbing and getting FTFs so he decided to go out and find them. This is how it all went:
TREE A: Upon arrival, Jim saw a branch growing upward on the left side of the tree. Jim thought of this branch as something he could use to pull himself into the tree. Once Jim was at GZ, he pulled himself into the tree using that branch but he hit his head on the branch above, which was a similar (if not the same) branch. Jim climbed up onto that branch and then spied the cache (a bison) on a branch above him on the other side of the tree, growing upward. Fortunately enough, Jim is a tall guy and he was able to reach the cache and access the log to get FTF.
TREE B: Jim proceeded to the next tree for some fun. Jim was prepared for this one. He could see GZ from his hotel room and saw a similar starting branch from the previous hide that he could use to pull himself into the tree. Upon arrival, Jim saw a branch above the starting branch on the same side of the tree that was growing downwards towards the starting branch. Jim took note of it so that he wouldn't hit his head again. Jim was able to get into the tree easily enough (without hitting his head). Jim then spied the cache (another bison) above him on a similar branch to the first cache (Everything must be the same today???). Anyways, Jim climbed up to a branch on the same level as the downward branch, growing upwards. Jim SL and replaced for FTF. Upon coming down, he noticed the tree to the right of the tree he just climbed was identical to that tree. Jim still opted for the first one because it had a cache in it.
TREE C: Jim walked over to this cache and saw THE SAME starting branch as the previous two caches. Jim got into the tree and spied the cache on the only other branch which was above him on the other side of the tree, growing upwards. Jim got FTF yet again. He is on a roll today but little does he know...
The next 3 caches were all puzzles which Jim somehow managed to solve (and rather quick too). They were about the letter P and fighting in Asia, communication and ciphers in which Jim is not too good at solving. Here are Jim's logs for the next hides:
TREE D: DNF - Sadly, I had to DNF this. I arrived at the next hide and saw a branch similar to all the other starting branches I have seen today. The only problem is that it is extremely high up and I couldn't reach it. There was also a branch on the other side of the tree which was just like reflecting the starting branch on the other side. I spied the Gum Can on a straight branch above the starting branch. Sadly, I had to DNF because I couldn't even get into the tree but maybe someone else can get FTF. TFTC anyway.
TREE E: FOUND IT - [FTF] I arrived at GZ to see the same starting branch. Unfortunately, I smacked my head on the above branch, which was growing straight to the side. On the same level and other side of the tree, there was a branch growing upwards and on a similar branch above that branch, I spotted the cache. I quickly climbed up to SL and replace for FTF. TFTC
Jim's holiday came to an end so he went home but 6 months later, Jim came back to Sydney for a party on a block. Jim brought a lot of TOTTs for caching after the party. Surprisingly, Tree D was STILL unfound so Jim decided to re-attempt. Here is his log:
TREE D: FOUND IT - [FTF] What a surprise! It was somehow still unfound so I decided to attempt again with my equipment. It was very easy now but everything feels the same...
Here's the plot twist - after Jim left Sydney after the party, another tree climb puzzle came out. Jim saw it at home but he can't crack it. There was something about a rainbow in the puzzle and something about values. Can you help him?
