TFTC—Thanks For The Community!
... is the theme for this year's Geocaching International Film Festival (GIFF) as "we [are] celebrating 25 years of geocaching, but we are also celebrating the amazing community that has built this game for a quarter century." The selected winners of this year's films submitted from geocachers around the world will be shown in a show that lasts about an hour. If you attend such an event and post an "Attended" log, you will receive a special souvenir for your profile. After completion of the show, you will have the opportunity to vote for your favorite one!
In addition to being a GIFF event, this one will be combined with a Community Celebration Event (CCE). Before the show starts, we will spend time sharing our usernames and "real" names, and either your favorite Tool of The Trade (TOTT), name and GC code of your most favorite cache, name and GC code of your most dreaded DNF, most quoted geocaching term, the history of your username, your current number of finds (alhough we all know it's NOT about the numbers), last cache found, last cache hidden, upcoming events that you are hosting, OR number of caches you have hidden -- within 25 WORDS OR LESS! Repeat: within 25 WORDS OR LESS! Keep it short. 
OR ... you might mention a kind, supportive, helpful, courteous, and/or adventurous geocaching friend (or volunteer reviewer) and thank them for being them.
If you have not yet attended a Community Celebration Event, in addition to the souvenir for the GIFF, you will also recieve a souvenir for participating in this CCE.
The show will start at 6:30. Popcorn will be served.
After the show, as mentioned, you will have the opportunity to vote for your favorite film -- and followup with that geocacher that wasn't able to finish their introduction by using too many words; they talked and talked and used more words than permitted. Beginners are welcome to ask questions they may have - geocachers are always ready, willing, and too able to expound extensively on geocaching.
The event is being held at the GigaParts Store, 6123 University Dr, Huntsville, AL (just west of AL-255, where Burlington's used to be). We will be in the large classroom in the back, right of the store.

Community Celebration Events - 2025
