Gobble, gobble, anyone?
Back by popular demand...it's a celebration!
Come join us yet again (for the 9th time, and our 4th in this location!) for the beloved JAGA-land annual geo-Thanksgiving tradition! And I couldn't think of a better reason to use my special Community Celebration Event! Per usual, this will be a casual, potluck-style gathering where cachers are invited to join together for a "family" Thanksgiving meal, along with some games and fellowship. All are welcome - whether it's your first time, or you're a seasoned geo-turkey - it's a wonderful way to see old friends, meet new ones, and start off the holiday season! This year's event will take place at the same location where we met in 2022, 2023, and 2024.
The event will be held on Sunday, November 16th, at Shawnee Memorial Park (NOT Shawnee State Park), located at 550 Shawnee Drive, Roaring Spring, PA 16673. The space is a large lodge, located in a scenic community park, with plenty of room for parking. There are indoor restrooms and a full kitchen available, and a playgound is located next to the building. The handicap-accessible entrance is around back, if needed.
Please note, you are not required to bring or pay anything to attend, and you are more than welcome to join us for all or any part of the event, as you like. If you are so inclined, donations will be accepted to help offset the cost of the building rental. As the host, I will contribute a turkey and beer bread (probably along with other items, yet to be determined...let's see what we need). If you plan to bring a dish to share, please indicate what you'll be bringing in your Will Attend log, along with how many will be in your party, so we can plan accordingly. We plan to have dinner at 2pm.
