What we'll be doing: Since Kiisikwa and his geowife Darlene have become empty nesters, we've renewed our interest in visiting America's National Parks. To date, we've visited 16 of the 63 National Parks together (Kiisikwa has a few more than that solo) with 3 more planned for an October trip. So, what better theme for a World Postcard Day event than Natonal Parks ... and why not turn it into a community challenge. SO, we'll have postcards with vintage style artwork for all 63 of America's National Parks. We'll ask those who want to to put their address in a container and select a postcard from the most unusual National Park they have visited. Been to Gates of the Arctic or American Samoa? Grab that postcard. At some point during the event, grab an address from the container and send that person a postcard telling them why they should go to that National Park. Let's see how many postcards we have left and whether we can cover all the least visited National Parks.
