This event is being held at Holmesbrook Park in Wadsworth. Event time is 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm to take advantage of the warmest part of the day. We are celebrating all the great parks that we have visited while geocaching. Our first cache was placed in this park.
We are meeting in the parking lot at the posted coordinates. Everyone is welcome to walk the park during the event. If it rains we can make use of the nearby non-reservable shelter if it is available. Anyone not walking can stay in the parking area or the shelter and swap adventure stories or just socialize. Those wishing to walk have options of a level paved trail and some rustic nature trails with hills. All parts of Holmesbrook Park and Friedt Park can be accessed from the event location.
Holmesbrook became part of Medina County Park District in 2022 and has had some recent renovations including the shelter and the addition of a restroom. The .41 mile paved trail leads to a fishing pond and branches off to some nature trails. Wadsworth's Friedt Park is to the north and can be accessed from the Holmesbrook Park nature trails.
