2025 Community Celebration Event
Ormai dovreste averlo imparato: a Verona, se gli event non sono MEGA almeno che siano MULTI!
E’ così che dopo il trittico di CCE natalizi del 2022, questa volta ci cimentiamo in una due giorni per celebrare il 25* compleanno del Geocaching, con una proposta di fine settimana scatolettaro, gastronomico e, ne siamo certi, in ottima compagnia.
I due CCE “gemellati”, in cantiere da ormai più di sei anni, sono:

Non vi nascondiamo (ma vi diciamo solo questo) che durante la giornata "potrebbero" venir pubblicate alcune nuove cache: quindi NON potete mancare!
2025 Community Celebration Event (CCE) - II/II
Il Ponte del Biffis alla Val del Tasso
Dopo l'abbuffata di cache e bigoli di ieri, oggi vi tocca una giornata cultural-gastronomica un po’ più sedentaria, ma non meno originale.
Nel 1913 l'ingegnere Ferdinando Biffis firmò il progetto di una delle più imponenti opere idrauliche italiane: il Canale Biffis è infatti una vera e propria autostrada acquatica, lunga 47 km dei quali 8,5 in galleria, studiata per irrigare l'area collinare e pedemontana tra Ala (TN) e Verona mediante la captazione delle acque dell'Adige nonché per la produzione di energia elettrica attraverso le due centrali idroelettriche a Bussolengo (VR) e a Verona.
Il canale ebbe una lunga gestazione, ma vide finalmente la luce nel 1943: per costruirlo fu necessario rimuovere quasi 6 milioni di metri cubi di terreno, quasi tutti a mano, impiegando nei lavori di scavo anche la manodopera dei prigionieri di guerra e per superare i vari ostacoli naturali lungo il percorso, oltre alle numerose gallerie fu costruito anche un imponente "ponte-canale" che scavalca la valle del torrente Tasso, in località Sega di Cavaion.
Oltre alla ricerca delle cache, a rendere omaggio a questa grande opera di ingegneria idraulica con visita al vicino ponte del Biffis sulla Val del Tasso, sarà soprattutto Claudio Malini, ingegnere e storico appassionato che da anni ne promuove la divulgazione sul territorio attraverso un percorso narrativo ricco di immagini storiche, curiosità e aneddoti che hanno portato alla sua costruzione che, partendo precisamente dalla località di Sabbionara in provincia di Trento arriva fino alle porte di Verona a monte della diga al Chievo, affiancato lungo tutto il suo percorso dalla "Ciclovia del Sole", 7.400 km con partenza da Capo Nord e arrivo a Malta dopo aver attraversato Norvegia, Finlandia, Svezia, Danimarca, Germania, Repubblica Ceca, Austria e Italia: insomma, il percorso ideale per un viaggio in bicicletta da iniziare in maglione e terminare in costume da bagno nelle calde acque del Mediterraneo.

Come:
Dopo l’abbuffata estiva di Mega, Giga, Cito, Blockparty, CCE... e bigoli, fatto 30 iil 27 che ne dite di fare 31 il 28?
Il precedente:
Contrariamente al "Bigolo Party II", qui non ci sono precedenti e quindi un giorno avrete l’invidiabile privilegio di poter raccontare ai vostri nipotini: “Io c’ero... all'unico!”
Perché:
1 - Beh... perché oltre alle nuove cache, non c’è mica solo il “piccolo” cache-trail del Monte Luppia da andare a fare!
2 - Perché a tirare i bigoli con il torchio si fatica e suda, mentre qui, dopo aver trascorso la mattinata come meglio credete, potrete restarvene comodamente seduti non sudati prima e con le gambe sotto la tavola poi… una breve passeggiata digestiva ve la tengo da parte per il primo pomeriggio.
3 - Perché, se avrete scelto di trascorrere il fine settimana al Lago di Garda, sareste già in zona e non dovrete venire appositamente.
4 - ...e per finire: “Perché no!?!”
Event:
10.30 Ritrovo alle coordinate dell'event;
11:00 Inizio proiezione del documentario;
12:30 ca. Termine incontro e breve trasferimento in auto all’Agriturismo Val del Tasso per il pranzo (Prezzo € 30 cad., possibilità opzioni “veggy”, seguirà maggiore dettaglio);
15.00 ca. Breve passeggiata con visita al vicino "ponte-canale" del Biffis;
16:30 Tana... liberi tutti!
Per partecipare:

Per ovvie ragioni di organizzazione e prenotazioni il termine per iscriversi è fissato entro Domenica 31 Agosto;

Le due location di Event e pranzo sono entrambe al coperto, disponibilità fino a 60 posti;

Se qualcuno avesse intolleranze alimentari è invitato a segnalarlo per tempo; cercheremo di avere un occhio di riguardo anche per i vegetariani;

Per chi ha bisogno di pernottamento tra i due Event, l'Agriturismo Val del Tasso, dove saremo ospitati per pranzo, dispone anche di alloggio: consultare il sito e contattare in autonomia per disponibiità e prezzi.
Come ogni altro Event, anche questo è pensato per essere un’occasione di incontro tra vecchi e nuovi giocatori, ma soprattutto di accoglienza dei nuovi arrivati che vogliono scoprire i "misteri" che circondano il Geocaching, ma sarà come sempre anche un momento di incontro per chi è già esperto e vuole pianificare la sua ricerca di scatolette nei dintorni.

2025 Community Celebration Event
You should have learned by now: in Verona, if the events aren't MEGA, at least let them be MULTI!
So, after the trio of Christmas CCEs in 2022, this time we're throwing a two-day event to celebrate Geocaching's 25th anniversary, proposing you a weekend of caches, good food and, we're sure, great company.
The two "twin" CCEs, in the works for over six years now, are:

2025 Community Celebration Event (CCE) – II/II
The Biffis Bridge on the Tasso Valley
After the previous evening's feast of cache and bigoli, today you'll have a slightly more sedentary, but no less original, cultural and gastronomic day.
In 1913, engineer Ferdinando Biffis signed the project for one of the most impressive Italian hydraulic works: the Biffis Canal is in fact a true aquatic highway, 47 km long, 8.5 km of which are in tunnels, designed to irrigate the hilly and piedmont area between Ala (TN) and Verona, capturing the waters of the Adige upstream and for the production of electricity through two power plants in Bussolengo (VR) and, just before flowing into the Adige, in Verona.
The canal had a long gestation, but finally saw the light in 1943: to build it, it was necessary to remove almost 6 million cubic meters of soil, almost all by hand, using the labor of prisoners of war in the excavation work and to overcome the various natural obstacles along its route, in addition to the numerous tunnels, an imposing "canal bridge" was also built which crosses the valley of the Tasso creek, in the locality of Sega di Cavaion.
In addition to the cache hunt, Mr. Claudio Malini, an engineer and passionate historian who has been promoting its dissemination for years, will pay homage to this great feat of hydraulic engineering with a visit to the nearby Biffis Bridge over the Tasso Valley, through a narrative path rich in historical images, curiosities, and anecdotes that led to the construction of the Biffis Canal, which begins exactly in Sabbionara in the province of Trento and ends just outside Verona, upstream from the Chievo Dam. The route is flanked by the "Ciclovia del Sole" a 7,400-km bike route starting from the North Cape and ending in Malta after crossing Norway, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, the Czech Republic, Austria, and Italy. It's the ideal route for a cycling trip, starting in a sweater and ending in a swimsuit in the warm waters of the Mediterranean.

How:
After the summer binge of Mega, Giga, Cito, Blockparty, CCE... and bigoli, now that “we made 30 the 27th, how about making 31 the 28th”?
The previous:
Contrary to the yesterday "Bigolo Party II", here there's no precedent, so one day you'll have the enviable privilege of being able to tell your grandchildren: "I was there... at the only one!"
Why:
1 - Well... because in addition to the new caches, there's more to the Monte Luppia trail than just the "little" trail to do!
2 - Because pulling bigoli with a press takes a lot of effort and sweat, whereas here, after spending the morning as you please, you can sit comfortably first and then relax at the table... I'll save a short digestive walk for the early afternoon.
3 - Because, if you've chosen to spend the weekend at Lake Garda, you'd already be in the area and won't have to come specifically.
4 - ...and finally: "Why not!?!"
Event:
10:30 AM Meet at the event location;
11:00 Beginning of the documentary;
12:30 PM End of meeting and short drive to Agriturismo Val del Tasso for lunch (€30 each, vegetarian options available; more details to follow);
3:00 PM approx. short walk with a visit to the Biffis canal-bridge;
4:30 PM approx. everyone's free!
To participate:
- For obvious organizational and booking reasons, the registration deadline is Sunday, August 31st;
- Event and lunch location are both indoors, with availability of up to 60 seats;
- If anyone has any food allergies, please let us know in advance; We'll also be catering to vegetarians;
- For those who need an overnight stay between the two Events, Agriturismo Val del Tasso where we'll be staying for lunch, also offers accomodations: check the website and contact them directly for availability and prices.
Like every other event, this one is designed to be a meeting place for old and new players, but above all, to welcome newcomers who want to uncover the mysteries surrounding geocaching. As always, it will also be a meeting place for experienced players who want to plan their own canned food hunt in the surrounding area.
