Baddeley Park
Cessnock Sportsground is part of the Baddeley Park Complex. It was constructed in 2004 and is found in Vincent Street. The sportsground has a modern grandstand that can seat 1400 spectators.
There is also a hockey field that that was upgraded in 2024. A new rubber shock pad and hybrid synthetic grass was included in its resurfacing.
Black Creek runs along the side of the park and there is a foot bridge to allow pedestrians to walk from Evans Street to Vincent Street. There is also a car park space within the grounds.
I suggest you don’t try and park in the car park during a Goannas match. They are part of the Newcastle Rugby League competition.
