Geocache Description:

Back in 2016, I hid three night Geocache's for the upcoming MOGA events. These three Geocache's will be archived soon after this event, so therefore this event precedes a hike one last time for these three Geocache's. . But don't worry there will be a second event here for the grand opening of the new set of night cashes which will be placed soon.

It is not necessary to do the hikes to attend this event.. Parking and the event are the same. There is space here for approximately 12 cars.

This property is owned by the army core of engineers whose main office is located here at East Fork State Park. As I was told by the head Ranger here this area of the park is open 24/7 but if the government shuts down for whatever reason this area of the park will be closed to all vehicle traffic. You can park at the gate and walk in if necessary it would add about a mile to the to the event in a mile back to your car if that were to happen.

The hike length and terrain. Each of the sub cashes are around a mile and the final is around 3 miles round-trip. these miles will be at night which makes them seem longer. There is some bush whacking, there is some briars, there will likely be mud unless the temperature is below freezing for this day. So dress accordingly and hiking boots are recommended as there is a water crossing on the final. This is normally not a problem unless it rains this day. I will be collecting the containers as the group goes through and finds them. Thus this is the last hurrah on these three Geocache's..

PS, this is my 12th annual hike with sequoia outing. I am on call this day so I had to make this one a night event or after work if you will. This is the reason for keeping it close to home. Look for a second hike event not associated with these cashes or the new ones in the next few weeks in the southern Ohio or northern Kentucky in the Portsmouth Ohio area. I am thinking of the Carter caves State Park in Kentucky for that hike event. But I have not contacted the Rangers there yet for permissions. Permission for these cashes and events by David Chambers, head ranger of the army core of engineers.

edit: i will not be able to do the hikes after the event thanks to left over flu symptoms. I am not contagious but i am very weak.   If anyone else would like to take over the hike portion, just let me knowz thank you
