It was Boxing day and a young fellow was out playing with his Christmas Present when the wind direction shifted causing the alternative runway to be used in Sydney. Oh dear, an emergency call just came into the 000 center from the Sydney Airport Control Tower advising that a kite strike occured at an altitude of 456M and 760M along the line of decent to touchdown on Runway 025 which was at the given coordinates.
No angle of decent was given but something had to be done to check out the cause and make sure it never happens again. The information was passed onto the Authorities, a location calculated and a party was despatched to reprimand the offender. At the same time, you were asked to install CCTV cameras and post signage in the general area to make everyone aware of what is ment by restricted air space.
