Geocache Description:

Originally named La Vaca Park (“the cow” in Spanish), this beautiful city park was renamed Nathan Krestul Park in September 2007. It is adjacent to Christopher Creek, with kayak access to both the creek and the St. Johns River. In June 2000, Mary Wheatley created a lovely butterfly garden on the grounds. It was later chosen by the statewide Florida Native Plant Society as tops in the wildflower and butterfly category.

This cache is named in honor of this butterfly garden, and it has been placed here with the permission of the City of Jacksonville Parks.

As you enjoy the garden, be on the lookout for a pint-sized cache. When you find it, please sign the logbook! And if you would like any of the goodies inside the cache, just remember to trade up or trade even :)

Happy hunting!
