Geocache Description:

As my K9K8 nickname indicates, I love dogs! I grew up with 14 different dogs and personally have had 5 dogs of my own. My first vocation was as an engineer; once a geek, always a geek. As a second career I switched to dog grooming. Both science and animals have enriched my life. All my cache hides will have something to do with dogs.

Here’s the first 2025 hide for local cachers looking for another smile. I happened to visit a local office and noticed that this location, which used to have another hide, had become available. Great location for my CO maintenance.

From Wikipedia: The Huckleberry Hound Show was a Hanna Barbera cartoon show for kids popular in the 1960s. “Huck” was a blue anthropomorphic Bluetick Coonhound dog that spoke with a North Carolina Southern drawl. Episodes usually featured Huck trying to perform jobs in different fields such as policeman, dogcatcher, Roman gladiator, Medieval knight and rocket scientist. Huck’s vocational efforts initially backfire, but eventually through persistence or shear luck come out with positive results. Huck's name is a reference to the 1884 American novel “Adventures of Huckleberry Finn”, written by mark Twain. Hanna And Barbera almost named Yogi Bear “Huckleberry Bear”.

Always keep your guard up when geocaching or socializing with animals of any kind.
