Take a scenic 5km drive off the Princess Hwy towards the beach spot of Lake Tyres. You can swim in the lake aswell as the surf beach! If your lucky Lakes Tyres might be open to the sea although this happens very rarely, if you would like, you can check out the live cam at https://laketyerscaravanpark.com.au/beach-cam/ to see if the lake is open. There is a caravan park, general store and a great restaurant/pub. Check out the info board for more infomartion on Lakes Tyres.
P.S On the way home if you have time take the Red Bluff Road for a detour down to Red Bluff Surfing Beach.
