Auston and I were out finding caches today, and found decided to stop and place a cache here.
I got out of the car with my PB jar in hand (well, actually one of KR's PB jars... but she gave them to me to place caches for the event, so...Thanks KR!!) and imagine my surprise when I found *this* in the ditch next to the truck.
Instantly, memories of Geowoodstock in Warren PA came flooding back. There was a particular cache that we found while in Warren that was at a Kayaking and Canoeing shop, in the guardrail along the driveway. It was a clever find (not the usualy guardrail MKH or pill bottle) and did take us quite a while to locate. The owner of the kayaking shop was so amused by watching people search for this particular cache, that he placed a decoy (fake) owl on the guardrail as a red herring.
When we tried to find it, my caching partner must have checked that darn owl at least a half dozen times, to make sure it wasn't the cache. Eventually, the title of this cache was uttered... which ended up as a meme (thanks to Lone.R) and now, a cache of it's very own. Apparently it's also a quote by Mark Frost, but I think it came from our caching adventures first.
Based on this cache description, you can probably guess what you're looking for. The "Host" is already a little bit broken (having been found in a ditch) so please be gentle so he doesn't end up more broken. The cache itself is a PB jar, with room for small trade items and trackables. Please bring a pen to sign the log, and replace as found.
And remember, sometimes an owl really is just an owl... but maybe not this time.
