Convento abbandonato dei Cappuccini.
Questa avventura vi porterà alla scoperta dell'ex Convento dei Cappuccini, un luogo immerso nella Gravina del Fullonese di Grottaglie. Lungo il tragitto potrete ammirare la gravina e le sue innumerevoli grotte. Una parte del convento è stata ristrutturata e rivalutata ma l'area che esplorerete è abbandonata e conserva tutto il suo misticismo e la sua desolazione quindi se siete appassionati di urbex fa al caso vostro!
Seguite i waypoint indicati per raggiungere l'entrata e non perdere il sentiero.
Attenti all'ultimo tratto perché particolarmente esposto. Se siete sensibili alle altezze o siete poco pratici su terreni dissestati evitate!
L’ex convento dei Cappuccini che domina la gravina del Fullonese divenne residenza dei monaci stessi nel 1546. In seguito alla soppressione napoleonica del 1809 il convento divenne proprietà del Comune di Grottaglie nel 1867; che lo adibì prima a convitto e poi a mendicomio.
Esplorate la zona con cautela e rispetto, la cache non è all'interno degli edifici quindi non è necessario entrare per trovarla.

Abandoned Capuchin Convent.
This adventure will take you to discover the former Capuchin Convent, a place nestled in Grottaglie's Fullonese valley. Along the way you will be able to admire the valley and its countless caves. Part of the convent has been restored and revalued but the area you will explore is abandoned and retains all its mysticism and desolation so if you are an urbex enthusiast it is for you!
Follow the waypoints indicated to reach the entrance and don't miss the trail.
Watch out for the last section of the trail because it is particularly exposed. If you are sensitive to heights or are unfamiliar with uneven terrain avoid it!
The former Capuchin monastery overlooking the Fullonese valley became the residence of the monks themselves in 1546. Following the Napoleonic suppression in 1809, the convent became the property of the Grottaglie Municipality in 1867; which used it first as a boarding school and then as a mendicomy.
Explore the area with caution and respect; the cache is not inside the buildings so it is not necessary to enter to find it.
