About SideTracked Caches

About Macquarie Fields Station
The station is on the main south line from Sydney to Melbourne and opened as a single track siding on 3 October 1888. It now has two platforms with plans to update the facilities planned for 2025.
Located between Glenfield and Ingleburn on the T8 line, the passenger traffic is not as busy as nearby stations. Vistiors willl realise, it is not close to lots of housing and has limited bus services. Locals prefer to use the adjoining stations.
Macquaie Links Golf Course is located on the western side of the staton with the farmlands of Hurlston Agriculture High nearby.
Every good station has a ghost story.
It has been reported that a ghost of a woman haunts the station, where crying and screaming are often heard at night after train services have stopped. In July 1906, a 42-year-old woman named Emily Hay Georgeson was reportedly run over and killed by a train.

The cache is a little distance from the station so parking should not be an issue.
