The idea of our “catch up by the water” events is to explore different areas via geocaching. Whether it be a river, a lake, the ocean or a waterfall there is something special about being by water so let’s combine them together.

Where: Cascades Rd, Metcalfe 3448
Located 25 minutes from Castlemaine, The Cascades is a hidden gem tucked away just north of the little town Metcalfe. A series of cascades sweep over layers of bedrock through rockpools, crevices and little caverns. The cascades is a lovely spot where you can picnic, explore, relax in one of the rockpools or take a swim in one of the bigger swimming holes.
As we will be beside the cascades, it would be handy to pack a chair or picnic rug. There are several old picnic tables available up the top however there are no other facilities.
