The Other Side of the Lake Traditional Cache

This cache is temporarily unavailable.

Quiffle: After three DNF's I dropped by to check this one out. Disappointing that cache is gone after only one finder. (I hope it was put back properly, & not just left hanging in plain view) What's more disappointing is the state of GZ. A number of live branches on the bush have been broken and/or bent and dragged down to ground level by searchers. (There's only 3 logged, so the suspect list is small.) Earth is scoured between and around clumping bush. The advisory I placed at the start of the Description (Capital-letter emphasis) has been totally ignored, as was the Hint (going on comments in log). That's three strikes all-up for this cache, so I have to give serious consideration re its future. Pretty miffed about things at the moment, so I'll take the allowed 4 weeks (at least) to go over the area again, and if I elect to have one more shot in a different location, to construct a new cache.

Geocache Description:

SEARCHERS ... WRECKING the FOLIAGE WON'T HELP! JUST LOOK!!

The title of the cache may seem a bit counter-intuitive, as most people will park in Adriana St.
So isn’t it on THIS side of the lake?”
Well, yes. It’s simply that when it occurred to me that the row of Meteorological Poles here provided excellent fodder for a Multi, that became my main reason for using Lake Yandel’ora. Having made THAT decision, it really seemed a waste to not use other parts of the lake for some traditional caches. But on doing the measurements, I decided that the dimensions of the place meant the only way I'd be able to squeeze in two traddies would be to choose sites that were a bit ... “meh”!  What’s more, most CO’s (or is it just me?) hate having the misfortune of doing a whole lot of groundwork, only to go online, and find that your distances were just a wee bit out (well, the geocaching website says so, and that’s what matters)
So I decided to play it safe, and have my “extra” cache on the Adriana St side, definitely better than 161m from the other one! In any case, it provides incentive to walk the entire circumference, and experience a little part of the southwest which, being so close to the magnificent Botanical Gardens, is easily missed.

This poor little feller nearly went to sleep waiting for someone to show up. Slumber finally disturbed by joint searchers of jaybeem! (Mr & Mrs) and Curliebunny666. FTF honours to all!
