GATO "JACKSON"
O gato Jackson foi um gato muito admirado pelos residentes na zona do Largo do Socorro e pelas pessoas que habitualmente passavam por lá. Em 13 Dezembro de 2024 (4 anos após a sua morte) teve direito a uma justa homenagem com uma escultura em basalto, da autoria do escultor Pepe Baptista. Esta obra foi promovida por pessoas que conheciam o animal e procuraram apoios com sucesso, estando agora patente num dos muros da Barreirinha.
”O JACKSON, o rei da zona, entre outros nomes era adorado por todos os que passavam pelo Largo do Socorro, pertencia a todos e não pertencia a ninguém! Era sem dúvida um gato galã e muito gentil, deixará saudades”, lê-se na placa existente próximo da escultura.

- Procurem estacionar sempre em segurança;
- Deixem a cache sempre bem escondida e protegida;
- Levem sempre material de escrita;
- Sejam discretos ao procurar a cache;
- Aproveitem para fazer outras caches nas várias localidades da ilha da Madeira que vão visitando e divirtam-se...
ENGLISH - "JACKSON" THE CAT
The cat Jackson, was a cat much admired by the residents of the Largo do Socorro zone and by the people who used to pass by there. In December 13, 2024, (4 years after its death) he was entitled to a fair tribute with a basalt sculpture, by the sculptor Pepe Baptista. This work was promoted by people who knew the animal and successfully sought support, and is now on display on one of the walls of Barreirinha.
”JACKSON, the king of the region, among other names, was adored by everyone who passed through Largo do Socorro, he belonged to everyone and belonged to no one! He was certainly a heartthrob and very kind cat, he will be missed”, says the sign.
Some advices:
