Located next to the Jamestown airport runway is the home of the only livestock market in the north of South Australia. Sales are generally held on Thursdays if you want to see the yards in action.
Jamestown farmers have been running sheep since 1871, and today the Jamestown Sheep Market is a big drawcard for the town and hosts sheep sales where auctioneers pick out bids from sheep farmers and stock agents from all over the state.
