History:
The 3-waypoint geocache GCGACF "Our first set of Clothes" was established in 2003 by well-known geocache-creator ScurvyDog. I and my wife (her first cache) scored it in 2004.
Around 2013 the city of Lakewood decided to upgrade the area where WP1 was located, which destroyed the waypoint. ScurvyDog couldn't replace or relocate WP1, and the cache ended up being archived in 2015. WP2, which hung from a bougainvillea tree not far away, disappeared also. But, the final waypoint WP3, an LPC containing a rather unique cache container, remained undisturbed, intact, and apparently forgotten about - except by me.
Fast forward:
A curious search of the area surprisedly revealed to me that WP3 still existed, and contained the original cache container and log. I was inspired to make a new cache using this location and cache container. BUT, when I got ready to access the container for cleanup, it was discovered that the whole area around it had been cordoned off with temporary fencing. Gutting it out, I surreptitiously got past the fencing and, ignoring the vast amount of "WTF are you doing!!!"-es being expressed by my wife, was able to gain possession of the container & its untouched contents.
Present:
The simple task of re-advertising the cache at its original location was obviously not going to happen, so the quest to find an equivalent location to place the container commenced. Fortunately; a location similar in style was nearby, and the original container with the first log (SHOWING OUR 04/04/2004 LOGGING), and other contents historically stored and new log added, was placed there in its new home.
You are now tasked to find it.
