The subtitle of this cache is “I Can See ‘I Can See My House from Here’ from Here”.
(It would have been the title, but the geocaching setup for CO’s … understandably … has a limit on the number of letters acceptable in a cache name. If this cache were to have a successor, for example, and it were to be followed by another, then in just four generations it would have grown to a gargantuan 60 letters … and that’s without taking the punctuation into account!)
When I realised that my first “birthday” as a CO was approaching, the setup for a “celebration” cache seemed obvious, if somewhat self-indulgent.
I’ve come across a couple of similarly-themed caches during the last 12 months, so I don’t feel too bad, even if I’m still very much a pip-squeak in caching experience, compared to many I meet.
Admittedly, unless you have extraordinarily good long-distance vision, or binoc’s, it’s hard to make out GZ for GCAJQP6 from this spot, but it’s there, in line-of-sight. To give you a help … stand behind the garden (uphill side) If you have a compass (or compass app), look at a bearing of approx. 340°, and you’ll see the yellow and maroon exterior of Gledswood Hills Primary on a distant hilltop. In front of that, along the ridge crest, there’s a swathe of green grass. This is Gledswood Hills Park. GZ for the other cache is at approximately 330°.
You may (or may not) like to celebrate this happy event in some unspecified way but far be it from me to suggest how or where that might (or might not) happen.
The garden plot where this cache has been placed has become a bit sad over the last couple of years. Council aren't wonderfully diligent in caring for it (I know, there are more significant spots for parks 'n gardens to focus on), and some folks have dumped the odd bit of garden refuse there. But its neglect should make searching easier.
So ... Happy Birthday to me. It shouldn’t take too long to get this one, as the options are limited. The Hint should make it a cinch … my gift to you!!
Curliebunny666 was first guest at the par-tay ... able to make the leisurely trip across to claim the FTF and celebrate the event.
