Geocache Description:


NOTE: The Preserve closes at sunset (check times here, put in Princeton as the city). If you would like to hunt this cache, please get there with some time to spare.

This cache is located on the grounds of the Plainsboro Preserve, a New Jersey Audubon Center. Brian Vernachio, the former director of the preserve, enthusiastically supported the placing of this cache and even supplied some of the goodies.

So, in the spirit of the Audubon Society, I would like to maintain a "nature" theme for items in the cache. I am starting off the cache with the following contents:
  • butterfly stickers
  • fern finder and berry finder nature identification guides
  • a bird keychain
  • honey bee mini-puzzle
  • Audubon U.S. postage stamps
  • notepad with bears on it
  • bird stickers
  • frog finger puppet
  • Eastern bluebird magnet
  • Beanie Baby goose with a travel bug. Unlike most of the geese here in New Jersey, this one wants to migrate, so take her only if you want to help her on her travels.
If you can, bring cache trading items somehow related to nature-- animals, the outdoors, etc.

Enter the Preserve at the following coordinates: N40 20.954, W74 33.422 and park in the dirt parking lot. The cache is just over a half-mile walk from the parking lot.

Note: No pets are allowed on the preserve trails, nor is fishing allowed in the lake. Trails are open sunrise to sunset, and there is a gate, so don't get locked in after dark.
