Con i suoi 746 metri di altezza dal livello del mare, il Monte Bedea è molto di più che un'insiginficante collina a sud di Novaggio, infatti offre attività per tutti, durante tutto l'anno.
Numerosi sentieri percorrono i boschi attorno al Bedea, una strada forestale sterrata arriva con una tranquilla salita fino alla cima dove si trovano alcuni tavoli e panchine. Il sentiero della pace, che parte dalla barriera sulla forestale (waypoint), offre una serie di attività divertanti realizzate dai bambini delle elementari.
Una pista downhill per le bici parte dalla cima e scende fino a Novaggio, offrendo numerosi salti e curve, ottimo per chi cerca un po' di adrenalina.
È possibile visitare la lapide dedicata a Charles R. Callaway, aviatore che morì sulle pendici del Bedea. Abbiamo nascosto nelle sue prossimità una letterbox, che vi consigliamo per approfondire questa interessante storia.
In inverno, quando nevica, è possibile sciare in uno dei comprensori più a sud della Svizzera. Anche se chimare uno scilift di alcune centinaia di metri un "comprensorio" è un po' esagerato, ci si può senza dubbio divertire a percorrerre la piccola pista.
Ovviamente non può mancare il Geocaching: abbiamo nascosto tre cache sul sentiero a est del Bedea, la letterbox menzionata prima e questo tradizionale sulla cima.
Il cache
Un ritorno ai vecchi tempi con una scatola "normale", che offre spazio per oggetti di scambio e trackable. Usate pure una pagina ciascuno sul logbook come si faceva una volta e lasciate un messaggio.

At 746 meters above sea level, Mount Bedea is much more than an insignificant hill south of Novaggio, in fact it offers activities for everyone, all year round.
Numerous trails run through the woods around Bedea, a dirt forest road arrives with a quiet climb to the top where there are some tables and benches. "Il sentiero della pace" (The path of peace), which starts from the barrier on the forest road (waypoint), offers a series of fun activities made by elementary school children.
A downhill track for bikes starts from the top and goes down to Novaggio, offering numerous jumps and curves, great for those looking for a bit of adrenaline.
It is possible to visit the plaque dedicated to Charles R. Callaway, an aviator who died on the slopes of Bedea. We have hidden a letterbox nearby, which we recommend to learn more about this interesting story.
In winter, when it snows, you can ski in one of the southernmost ski areas in Switzerland. Even if calling a ski lift of a few hundred meters a "ski area" is a bit of an exaggeration, you can certainly have fun riding the small slope.
Of course, you can't miss Geocaching: we have hidden three caches on the path east of the Bedea, the letterbox mentioned above and this traditional one on the summit.
