Geocache Description:

The cache is NOT at the posted coordinates

Embark on a scientific journey to complete the cell quest. Each clue delves deeper into the world of biology. Solve the riddles, collect the letters, and unscramble them to discover the ultimate treasure location. Are you ready to explore the intricacies of the cell?"

Puzzle Instructions: "Use the specified letters from your answers to form the words you need to unscramble. For example, if your answer is 'Happy dog,' take the second-to-last letter of 'dog,' which is 'o,' and use it in your word scramble."

Puzzle Clues:

  1. "I’m the post office of the cell, expertly packing and shipping. Proteins and lipids pass my way—guess my name and say!"
    • Use the second-to-last letter of the second word in your answer.
  2. "I’m the jelly filling up the space, holding organelles in their place. Simple yet vital, without me, the cell isn’t whole."
    • Use the first letter of the answer.
  3. "Clean-up crew is what I do. Digesting wastes both old and new. Enzymes within me break things down, find my name to claim the crown."
    • Use the first letter of the answer.
  4. "I guard the cell, letting things through, a selective barrier is what I do. Flexible and thin, I hold my place. Solve my riddle to win the race."
    • Use the third letter of the answer.
  5. "I’m the end of the DNA line, protecting the genome every time. Shortened with age, I hold the clue. Say my name to make it through."
    • Use the first letter of the answer.
  6. "Rough or smooth, I do it all, transporting proteins through my hall. With ribosomes or without my friend, I help the cell from end to end."
    • Use the first letter of the answer.
  7. "I’m a cell taking a restful pause, waiting for signals to restart my cause. Though quiet now, I’m not out of the game, guess my state to find my name."
    • Use the first letter of the answer.
  8. "Bringing things in is what I do, engulfing substances to make them new. The membrane wraps and pulls them tight, what process am I? Answer it right!"
    • Use the last letter of the answer.
  9. "I’m the process that pushes things out, from vesicles to the world without. Secreting waste or signals too, what’s my name? Here’s the clue!"
    • Use the first letter of the answer.

Final Instruction: "Once you have unscrambled the letters to form the words, enter your answer into the CERTITUDE  to obtain the final coordinates. Happy Caching everyone!"
