This cache is near the start of the Noorsekloof Nature Reserve Hiking Trail.
The reserve is situated in Jeffrey's Bay, and has been a formal conservation site since 1984.
It is a small 28 hectare area in the Noorsekloof, in Wavecrest, Jeffreys Bay and is roughly 200m wide at its narrowest, widening to about 400m in the heart of the kloof…. It lies in amongst homes and neighbourhoods, and an adjoining narrow greenbelt connects it to the beach.
The Noorsekloof reserve is predominantly valley bushveld, a plant typethat has received little publicity, unlike fynbos, and is thus barely conserved. Valley bushveld occurs in hot, dry valleys and rivers and is dense, sometimes even impenetrable thorny or succulent shrubs.
Bird-lovers should look out for the Knysna Loerie, Knysna Woodpecker and Paradise flycatcher in the Noorsekloof Nature Reserve…
You can bring a folding chair and snacks to eat and drink and enjoy the peace and tranquility of nature…
The cache is hidden in plain sight and not hard to find if your eyes are still good…
This is a DAYLIGHT ONLY cache…
