View from Oxon Hill around 1900 CE. This are was developed by the RAF in the 1920s and military housing built. Just adjacent to the hill is Warneford Avenue which was sold off in the 1980s. It has a lovely green out front and apparently was Officer housing and there were tennis courts on the green. Originally this was the Tring road but a bypass was put in and so.e houses removed to make way for it.
