The Double-Ring-Shaped Longevity Pavilion, strict and unique in structure, gracious and elegant in style. It is composed of two linked round pavilions, each with a double eave and a malachite-blue glazed tile roof. It was originally located in Zhongnanhai (Central and Southern Seas in Beijing). Hongli, Emperor Qianlong, had it built in 1741 to celebrate his mother's 50th birthday. Its floor plan symbolizes a pair of peaches, and the stairways in front of the pavilion resemble the tips of the two peaches—all symbolizing "harmony, auspiciousness, and longevity." It was relocated to The Temple of Heaven in 1975.
