This is cache 2 of my "Fish On" series. I enjoy a variety of outdoor activities in addition to geocaching. Fishing is absolutely one of them! Swarr Run creek is one of the places my dad & I enjoy trout fishing in the spring & summer.
Penn State Lancaster Medical Center opened October 2022. The hospital & campus is beautiful. They've provided a lovely trail for walking as well as encourage the community to come fish. They've even done special community days and have stocked the waters with extra trout (in addition to what PA has done). They also have areas at each end of the fencing to throw away fishing line.
Be very cautious of wildlife!! In the warmer months you can spot copperhead snakes (venomous) along the trail and among the vegetation in the area. The geese are also jerks, especially when their nests are around.
This cache can be obtained by parking in parking Lot A (end closest to entrance of campus). Walk across the grass and onto the sidewalk, toward the bridge on State Rd. You will need to leave the sidewalk to obtain the cache. Watch your step.
This cache is an ammo can and allows plenty of room for TB's!!
