CITO at Comos-Beach No.8 with ARCHELON

For the last 7 years we have been here on the beach with geocachers collecting rubbish and for the last 2 years ARCHELON has also supported us too. There was a lot to learn and we had a great time together. We want to do that again this year, of course. Since we broke records last year with the number of participants, we want to try to motivate as many of you as possible to help here.

We meet us at the listed meeting-point, then we will go into the water and collect rubbish.

We split up and a part of the geocachers can clean the beach too.

Please come in time to the meeting-point.

We will start there at 11:00 AM and finish at 12:00 AM. - 15.September 2025

We will make a little lottery for one CITO-geocoin (like every year)....and additionally a small special surprise for all participants, let yourself be surprised. (With your will-attend-log, you make it much easier for us to prepare for the geocoin lottery so that we have enough tickets with us) - If you'd like to participate in the lottery, please be sure to leave a Will-Attend-Log. Thank you!

Every Geocacher who helps to clean (and make a Will-Attend-Log), has a chance to win the CITO-geocoin !

After the cleaning, from 11:30~12:00 ARCHELON will tell you something about the work to protect the sea turtles and show you on side.

You also have the chance to donate something for ARCHELON's work. But this is voluntary and not mandatory. We would be very happy if you also supported ARCHELON because you can do a lot of good with it.

Afterwards we will go (drive) up to the Taverna Vrachos (12:30~13:00, with a breathtaking view !!!).

Remember, every day you are somewhere on the beach, take 3 pieces of rubbish/plastics away from there.

Protect the sea turtles: please stay away from the beaches at night. Ask everyone to turn off any lights that may reach the beach at night.
