Since 1904, White Horse Hill National Game Preserve has played an important role in the conservation of American bison. In addition to the highly visible bison, elk and prairie dogs the game preserve helps to conserve, visitors also can find numerous other species of land animals and more than 214 bird species.
Join us for a short informative talk by Ms. Colleen Graue, the Visitor Service Manager, followed by a selection of activities.
Tasks that have been suggested by Ms. Graue include.
A trail improvement hike (3 miles) with pruners to trim back brush.
Cutting and predrilling bird house kits for future youth events.
Native plant garden weeding and maintenance.
General Trash and litter clean up.
