This is an easy one and within a very short distance of where you can park.
This geocache originated in 2002 on the north edge of Wahoo but has vanished twice, once to apparent theft, and the other a victim to heavy rains. Now it is located downtown, so should be in a safer, and yet interesting environment. The coordinates take you to a parking spot on main street. Just enter nearby and ask to see the geocache they have. The cache container is a 10 inch round metal container covered with camo tape. Note: Hours of access are 8-7:00 Mon thru Fri; 8-5:30 Sat; 12-4:00 Sunday.
Wahoo is home to many interesting things, so plan to drive around a bit. See website: (visit link) Wahoo prides itself on being a GREAT small town while still having access to many of the amenities of big city life in Omaha and Lincoln. With two excellent school systems, a well-developed parks and recreation program, a new hospital, a new law enforcement center, and a new library, Wahoo is the heart of activity in Saunders County. There are other geocaches at the Wahoo Cemetery and the Saunders County Museum which, if you haven’t yet found them, you will find quite fascinating. Don’t be intimidated by the fact they are multi-caches. Neither will take a very long time.
