This cache is located along the Green Pine Lake Pathway.
The Green Pine Lake Pathway trailhead is located 14 miles NW of Clare on M-115 at the site of the old Pike Lake State Forest Campground. We have hiked the pathway and thought it would be a good place for a cache since there aren’t any others in the immediate area. While looking for a place to hide the cache, we couldn’t help but notice that the Boy Scouts from the nearby scout camp had been putting up bird houses made out of PVC pipe every 20 feet. There must be 100 of them in a small area.
