The Lovers

Overlooking this bench on the Edgewater HRWW is a big marble and stone sculpture depicting two people hugging, named "Lovers". This monument was created and placed in 2014 by Japanese artist Minako Yoshino, who spends most of her time in New York. This statue symbolizes PEACE and connection to the world and is now is one of the many tourist attractions made by her at Edgewater Harbor.

You can visit this monument upclose at the nearby pier or include a picture of the lovers from GZ in your log. The gates to the pier open at 7 A.M. and close at 10 P.M. and follow some other important rules. For parking, park at the listed waypoint and it is only a short walk to the posted coordinates.
