Tucked away in a quiet patch of woodland just a stone’s throw from the Glamorganshire Canal and within earshot of Whitchurch Cricket Club lies this camo-painted shoebox-sized container. But don’t expect an easy grab — this one blends into its surroundings a little too well.
This area has a bit of forgotten history. The Glamorganshire Canal once carried coal to the city and beyond during Cardiff’s industrial heyday. Now, nature has taken over — but if you know where to look, you’ll find more than just trees and birds.
The cache is hidden using "stickoflage" — so keep an eye out for something that’s a bit too neat, a bit too unnatural, or just doesn’t sit right with the rest of the forest floor.
To throw you off the scent, there’s an old log nearby that looks suspicious... but don’t waste too long on it. It’s not what you’re after — just a bit of fun misdirection.
There’s room for small swaps and trackables inside. Please re-hide the container carefully and make sure it’s tucked in just right — the forest is watching.
Happy hunting, and may your geosense
be strong!
