This is the fourth and final in a series of caches dedicated to my geo-partner and amorcito-iubită, prepared as part of her birthday present after months of enjoying geocaching together around Romania and the world. Feel free to wish her a happy birthday in the log if you’d like! I hope you enjoy finding it as much as I enjoyed preparing it.
The Clock in Cișmigiu Park (Ceasul Cișmigiu) is a notable landmark situated within Bucharest's oldest public garden, Cișmigiu Park.
In 2011, the Bucharest municipality installed ten new public clocks adorned with 24-carat gold ornaments, one of which, maybe the most pictured was placed in Cișmigiu Park. These clocks are equipped with a repertoire of at least 30 melodies that chime at each quarter and half-hour, as well as on the hour. They also feature a programmable silent mode to prevent disturbances during nighttime hours.
The Cișmigiu Park clock, with its black structure and golden accents, is strategically positioned near the park's entrance, serving as both a functional timepiece and an aesthetic enhancement to the park's ambiance. Over the years, it has become a popular meeting point, as I did with my girl for the first time 🖤.
"The final step brings us around and where the journey started, the final box will be found. What was once the start, now holds the key, the end is in "acasita", couldn´t you see?"
