01 Campbellford West Rail Trail Traditional Cache

This geocache is part of a series of geocaches placed along the Campbellford to Hastings Rail Trail. The trail is a gravel trail for snowmobiling (with a permit), hiking, walking dogs, skiing, biking, and horse riding. In some sections it's a bit bumpy on a bicycle, but still very manageable. This section is close to Campbellford and parallels a small bubbling creek lined with tall white pine trees. There is lots of free parking in the Community Garden off Balaclava Street (N 44  18.325   W 77 48.421), and a little bit of roadside parking at intersecting country roads such as Tanner Industrial Drive (N 44 18.174  W 77 49.374)  and Banner Road (N 44 18.093  W77 49.847), west of Campbellford. There is also a small but nice parking lot (which might not be plowed in winter) at the Mary West Hiking Trails Property (N 44 18.136  W77 50.000).
