Welcome to Guido’s OrangeVale License Plate Cache!
To locate the Final stage of the cache, you will first need to observe a mural by AH in 2020 while at (or near, given the possibility of muggle-mania) the given coordinates.
Hmm… What information should you concentrate on?
License Plates of course, as this is the OrangeVale License Plate Cache!
The License Plates used are from two of the vehicles portrayed in the mural.
The North offset will use the License Plate from the blue convertible on the left – call it P1
The West offset will use the License Plate from the white PORSCHE – call it P2
The North offset calculations will refer to Letters 1-7 (left to right) on P1 and will be notated L1, L2, L3, L4, L5, L6, and L7.
The West offset calculations will refer to Letters 1-5 (left to right) on P2 and will be notated L1, L2, L3, L4, and L5.
TOTT: Be prepared with an Alpha to Numeric translation chart (A=1, B=2, etc.) for your North and West offset calculations.
NORTH OFFSET:
Using the translation TOTT –
From P1, Add translated L4 to L7. This is your North Offset.
Or to put it another way:
L4 + L7 = North Offset
NORTH FINAL: ADD the North Offset to the decimal minutes (.xxx) of the North Given coordinates to obtain your North Final Coordinates.
WEST OFFSET:
Using the translation TOTT –
From P2, Add translated L1 and L2 to L5. This is your West Offset.
Or to put it another way:
L1 + L2 + L5 = West Offset
WEST FINAL: ADD the West Offset to the decimal minutes (.xxx) of the West Given coordinates to obtain your West Final Coordinates.
