MOE-GT #04: Fishing in the Dark

Curtisville Lake offers 695 acres of lush scenery around a 30-acre lake with fishing, hiking trails, campsites, and picnicking. Other features include an ADA-accessible pier, playground, and restrooms. The Department of Natural Resources periodically stocks the lake. Activities include non-motorized boating, hiking, biking, fishing, and leisure activities — home of the Annual Family Fishing Day each spring on Good Friday.

TO FIND THIS CACHE wait until it gets dark and make your way to Curtisville Lake and Campground, one of the only locations in the county that you can camp. Grab a flashlight and a friend, and hit the trails on this short nighttime adventure.

You are looking for WHITE fire tacks placed head-high starting at the coordinates above. From here, follow the tacks down the trail until you come across an ORANGE tack. Turn left and make your way up the hill following the WHITE fire tacks. Once you see the smiley, you should know what to do. Before leaving, please ensure the pink cap is SECURELY fastened to the container and take the time to unhook the cache from the chain before returning so others can have the same fun you did.
