Geocache Description:

Time to hide a new cache, and given my job and chances to do site visits, then this seems a sensible type hide to do.

Caches in this series if it works and gets developed with generally be hidden around the controller boxes for the traffic signals, or close by them.

This cache is set by the pedestrian crossing along Anstey Lane, by a back entrance to the Agnes Unit which is attached to the Gorse Hill ambulance station.

The crossing was installed as part of the works to dual the Anstey Lane between the Leicester Western Bypass and the Outer Ring Road, and was finished in 2021.  At present, the crossing doesn't serve much and is barely used, but it has been installed partially ready for when the houses get built extending the Hallgate Drive estate, and to link it to Beaumont Leys and Anstey via the cycle paths etc.

You are looking for a traditional film pot for this cache.

As the stub road is currently unused and gated off, you can pull up off the main dual carriageway right next to the cache, although the turning isn't obvious.  It is immediately after the signals, so take care when pulling in and leaving GZ especially at night.
