The building near this point was once the entrance station to Wyalusing State Park. Like many of the old stone buildings in the park it was built by the CCC or WPA. The CCC was founded to help get 18 to 25 year old males back to work during the great depression. They built trails, buildings, and roads in the park. Much of which still exist today. The entrance was move in 1998 to the new building closer to the main hwy. The interpretive center shows life of the park over the years.
